Molly is generalist journalist based in New York. She works as a print editorial assistant at Shape Magazine, writing generally about health, wellness, fitness, and beauty, but also dabbling in fashion and food. You’ve got to mix it up. She's covered stories about everything from gang crimes to politics to perfume. She's interviewed people like John Stamos and former U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer, but finds some of the most interesting stories come from conversations with everyday community members and students.
Molly's work has been published in Esquire, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Mic, Los Angeles Magazine, 5280 Magazine, The Des Moines Register, and other publications. As a reporting fellow for The Phoenix New Times, she wrote two 5,000-word narrative cover stories, one about the plight of a transgender veteran who was raped while serving the Navy, but later found solace in the VA Hospital.
She graduated from Drake University in 2017 after winning Associate Collegiate Press Pacemaker and Hearst Journalism awards for her work on Drake Magazine. As multimedia editor of the student-produced publication she wrote award-winning features, managed writers, produced a podcast, and oversaw digital storytelling.
